Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lantern Tarot mobile application for Android (the "App") provided by Suki App Studio ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to these Terms and confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The App
The App offers tarot card readings and interpretations, a journal of your readings with your own questions and notes, favourites, statistics and an optional daily reminder. It is free to use and is supported by advertising. No account is needed.
2. For entertainment and self-reflection only
Tarot readings in the App are provided for entertainment and self-reflection. They do not predict the future, and we make no claim that any reading is accurate or that following it will lead to any result. Readings are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or any other professional advice. Do not make important decisions, or delay seeking professional help, on the basis of a reading. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis helpline right away.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old to use the App. If the law of your country sets a higher minimum age for using an app like this one or for agreeing to these Terms, you must meet that age or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
4. Your readings and data
Your readings, questions, notes, favourites, statistics and settings are stored only on your device. We do not run servers for the App, so we cannot see, restore or recover this data. If Android backup is turned on, Android may copy it to the backup in your own Google account. You can also export your data to a file and import it again; you choose where the file is saved, and you are responsible for keeping it safe. Only import files you created yourself or trust. Deleting the App, clearing its storage or using the in-app delete option permanently removes the data on your device.
5. Advertising and rewards
The App shows advertisements, including banner, native, full-screen (interstitial) and rewarded advertisements, provided by Google AdMob and its partners. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements or the websites and apps they lead to, and we are not responsible for them. How advertising data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Watching a rewarded advertisement is always optional. Depending on what the App offers at the time, a reward may unlock a cosmetic card back or remove full-screen advertisements for 24 hours. Rewards are part of the App only: they have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded, and do not change the content or meaning of any reading. Rewarded advertisements may sometimes be unavailable. A reward is stored on your device and may be lost if your App data is deleted and not restored from a backup or an export. We may change the rewards offered in the future, but we will not take away a reward you have already received merely because we changed the offer.
6. Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the App schedules a notification on your device. You can turn it off in the App or in Android settings at any time.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, texts, interpretations, design and our edits and arrangements of the card images, belongs to us or our licensors. The original card artwork was drawn by Pamela Colman Smith and published in 1909; it is in the public domain, and nothing in these Terms limits your use of the original public-domain artwork. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your own devices for non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer the App, except where the law allows it. You may share images of your own readings created with the App's share feature for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the App in a way that breaks the law, infringes the rights of others, interferes with the App or its advertising (for example by generating invalid ad clicks or impressions, or by automating rewarded advertisements), or harms other people.
9. Third-party services
The App is distributed through Google Play and uses services of Google, such as advertising and Android backup. Your use of those services is also subject to Google's terms and policies. When you share a reading, the image is sent to the app or service you choose, under that service's own terms.
10. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of readings and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that data stored on your device will never be lost.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for loss of data stored on your device, or for any decision you make based on a reading. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, any other liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
12. Changes and termination
We may change, suspend or discontinue the App or any of its features, and we may update these Terms. The effective date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be announced in the App before they take effect. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop providing the App to you if you seriously breach these Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be handled by the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings in the courts there where that law allows it. If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.
