Suki App Studio

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-19

Suki App Studio ("we", "us") is the controller of personal information processed through the Pick Party mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains what is processed, by whom and why, and what choices you have.

1. Summary

The App has no user accounts and we do not operate any server for it. The names and lists you type, your saved groups, past results and settings are stored only on your device and are never sent to us. Every draw and game runs on your device without a network connection. Advertising is provided by Google AdMob, which collects the data described in section 2. We receive nothing from the App itself, only what you send us by e-mail.

2. Information processed

Names, lists and groups (on your device only). The App keeps in its private storage on your device: the participant names you enter (which may be the names or nicknames of you and other people), with the optional skill stars you give them and whether they are sitting a draw out; the groups you save; the lists of options and of results to hand out that you enter; the optional topic of a draw (for example "Buys coffee"); your own penalty cards; and the per-game settings you choose. You do not have to enter real names: you can leave seats unnamed, and the App then calls them "Player 1", "Player 2" and so on. Please do not enter sensitive information about anyone.

Results history (on your device only). Each finished draw is saved in the App's history on your device with its time, the game played, the mode, the topic and the result (for example who was picked, the teams or the order). The App keeps the 100 most recent results.

Secret Santa (on your device only). When you draw Secret Santas, the App keeps the names, who gives a gift to whom, which people have looked at their match and your optional note (for example a budget or a date) on your device until you choose "Start over".

Settings (on your device only). Sound, vibration, theme and language choices.

Touches and taps. Games such as Finger Pick read where fingers touch the screen in order to draw circles under them. These touch positions are used only in memory while the game is on screen and are never stored or sent anywhere.

Randomness. Results are produced on your device by the Android system's cryptographically secure random number generator. Nothing about a draw is sent anywhere.

Sharing. Only when you tap Share or Copy, the App passes a short text with the result (the topic and the names in the result), or a person's Secret Santa match, to the Android share sheet or the clipboard, and you choose the app or person that receives it. Once shared, the content is handled by the app you chose, not by us. If you share text from another app to Pick Party, the App reads that text only to turn it into names in your list on your device.

Reading results aloud. Only if you turn on "Read results aloud" in Settings, the App passes the text of each result (the names or items picked) to your phone's text-to-speech engine. That engine is part of your phone, not of the App, and handles the text under its provider's terms; most engines work on the device, but some may process text online.

Advertising data (collected by Google). The Google Mobile Ads SDK shows advertisements in three ways, never during a game or on the result itself: a banner at the bottom of the menu screens, after your first finished draw; now and then a full-screen ad when you leave a result for the home screen or another game, limited to a few per day; and a short video only if you choose to watch one for "Party mode" (two hours without ads). It collects, for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention: the advertising ID and other device identifiers, the IP address (from which an approximate location is derived), device and app information, diagnostic information, and how you interact with advertisements. Where the law requires it, Google's consent message (the User Messaging Platform) asks for your choice before any ad is requested. Google LLC and its partners process this data as described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy. The App does not pass the names, groups, topics or results you enter to the advertising SDK. The App has no in-app purchases and no analytics SDK.

Permissions. Besides network access for advertising, the App asks for no permission except vibration (used for game effects and switchable in Settings). It does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.

E-mail. If you write to us, we receive your e-mail address and the content of your message and use them only to answer you.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Keeping your names, groups, results history and settings, running the games and sharing the results you choose to share: providing the functions you request, and our legitimate interest in offering a working app.

Advertising: your consent where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, collected through Google's consent message), otherwise our legitimate interest in keeping the App free.

Answering your e-mail: our legitimate interest in responding to you and dealing with your request.

4. Recipients and international transfers

We do not sell personal information. We receive none of the data described in section 2 except what you send us by e-mail. Google Play also gives us aggregated statistics and crash reports that do not identify you.

Google LLC, in the United States and other countries where Google and its advertising partners operate, receives the advertising data described in section 2 directly from your device, over an encrypted connection, to show and measure advertising. Google processes it under the safeguards it describes in its policies, including standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Our e-mail is hosted by Google (Gmail). Under some laws, showing personalised advertising is treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; you can opt out as described in section 6.

5. Retention

Names, lists, groups, the topic, penalty cards, the Secret Santa draw, results history and settings stay on your device until you delete them in the App (for example "Clear all" in a list, "Clear history" or "Start over" in Secret Santa), clear the App's data or uninstall the App. The history keeps at most the 100 most recent results; older ones are deleted automatically. The App uses Android Auto Backup: if backup is turned on on your device, this data may be included in the backup in your own Google account until that backup is deleted, and may be moved to a new phone when you transfer your data. We keep e-mail only as long as needed to deal with your message, unless the law requires longer. Google retains advertising data according to its own policies.

6. Your choices and rights

Your data on the device: edit or delete names, lists, groups and history in the App, or delete everything by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it. Turn sound, vibration and reading results aloud on or off in the App's settings.

Advertising choices: open "Ad privacy settings" in the App's settings (shown where the law requires it) to change or withdraw your consent; reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation, in Android Settings (Google > Ads, or Privacy > Ads, depending on the device).

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, to restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because we hold no personal information about you on any server, most requests are fulfilled on your own device; for data held by Google, use Google's tools. You can always contact us at the address below and we will answer within the period required by law.

7. Regional information

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland: the GDPR / UK GDPR rights in section 6 apply; you may complain to your local supervisory authority. Data received by Google in the United States is described in section 4.

Republic of Korea: items processed, purposes and retention periods are those in sections 2, 3 and 5. Personal information is provided or transferred overseas only to Google LLC (United States and other countries where it operates): the advertising data in section 2, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention; time and method: transmitted over the network while an advertisement is shown; retention: according to Google's policy. You may refuse this transfer by declining ad consent or turning off ad personalisation; personalised advertising will then not be shown. Our e-mail service (Gmail) is entrusted to Google LLC. Automatically collected information: the App uses no cookies; the advertising SDK uses the advertising ID, which you can reset or delete as described in section 6. Personal information is destroyed by deleting it in the App or deleting the App's data, and e-mails by deleting them from our mailbox. Person responsible for personal information protection: the representative of Suki App Studio, sukiappstudio@gmail.com. You may also seek help from the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (https://privacy.kisa.or.kr, 118) or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (https://www.kopico.go.kr, 1833-6972). Children under 14 may not use the App without the consent of their legal guardian.

United States (including California): we do not sell personal information for money. You may opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising through the choices in section 6. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Brazil: you have the rights listed in Article 18 of the LGPD and may contact the ANPD. International transfers take place as described in section 4.

Japan: we handle personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information; advertising data received by Google may be processed in the United States and other countries, as described in section 4.

India: you have the rights provided by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to nominate and the right to grievance redressal through the contact below.

Russia, Vietnam: you have the rights provided by your national personal data law, including to withdraw consent and to request deletion.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. Anyone below the age at which they can consent to the processing of their personal data where they live (for example 14 in the Republic of Korea or up to 16 in some European countries) may use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly process children's personal information. If you believe a child has used the App without such consent, contact us.

9. Security

The App stores its data in the private storage that Android protects from other apps, and the advertising SDK uses encrypted connections. Anyone who can unlock your phone can open the App and see the names, groups and results saved in it. Results you share leave the App's protection.

10. Changes

We will post any update to this policy in the App and on its store page, with a new effective date, before the change takes effect.
