Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-10-18
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Docwell mobile application (the "App") provided by Suki App Studio ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App is
The App is a free document viewer and editor. It opens documents such as PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Hangul (HWP, HWPX), OpenDocument, Markdown and text files, lets you edit and save the formats it supports, and converts documents to other formats. Everything is processed on your device.
2. Compatibility and your files
Office and Hangul formats are complex, and many are proprietary. The App is an independent implementation and is not made by the companies behind those formats. A document may look different from how it looks in the program that created it, and some content (for example macros, embedded objects, fonts that are not on your device, or advanced features) may be shown in a simplified way, or may not be kept when you save in another format or convert. The App never runs macros. Some files, such as password-protected or damaged ones, may not open.
Keep a copy of any important document before you edit or convert it, and check the result before you rely on it. The App keeps a copy of documents as they were when you opened them (see the Privacy Policy), but we cannot guarantee that a document can be recovered.
3. Your documents
You keep all rights to your documents. You are responsible for having the right to open, edit, convert and share them. We do not receive your documents.
4. Who may use the App
You must be at least 14 years old, or have the consent of your parent or guardian, to use the App. If the law of your country sets a higher age for agreeing to these Terms or to the processing of your data (for example 16 in some European countries), the same applies to that age.
5. Advertising
The App is free and funded by advertising delivered by Google AdMob. A single banner is shown at the bottom of the home and document screens. It steps aside while you type, in full screen and in landscape on phones, and the App does not interrupt your work with full-screen advertisements. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and are not responsible for the products or services they promote.
6. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal or work purposes. You agree not to: use the App for unlawful purposes; interfere with or bypass the advertising or any security feature; or reverse engineer the App except where the law or an open-source licence permits it.
7. Open-source software
The App includes open-source software. Each component is licensed under its own terms, listed in Settings > Open-source licenses, and those terms prevail over these Terms for that component. Where a licence requires it, the corresponding source code is available as described there.
8. Trademarks
Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Hangul (한글), HWP and HWPX are trademarks of Hancom Inc. PDF and Adobe are trademarks of Adobe Inc. Pages, Numbers and Keynote are trademarks of Apple Inc. OpenDocument is a trademark of OASIS. Other names belong to their owners. They are used only to describe file compatibility. Docwell is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these companies.
9. Disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will display or keep every part of every document, or that it will meet your requirements.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, documents or profits arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes and termination
We may update the App or these Terms. Material changes will be announced inside the App or on its store page before they take effect. We may suspend or discontinue the App at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
